We provide preschool classes for children ages 2 to 5 years (including Pre-K but not Kindergarten), with Day Care available on a limited basis. We are committed to providing Biblically based, developmentally appropriate preschool programming in a nurturing, Christ-centered environment. OUR MISSION: To provide a loving, caring, safe environment that fosters the spiritual, physical, emotional, social and cognitive growth of the child through a Christian approach To function as an outreach ministry of St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church by nurturing families of the children enrolled in our school as well as the children themselves STATEMENT OF FAITH: We believe in one God, who is eternal and exists in three persons - known as The Trinity: The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity and the humanity of Christ: He was fully God and fully man. We believe in his virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, and His vicarious and atoning death. We believe in His Resurrection. We believe He ascended into Heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father. We believe that the presence of the Holy Spirit dwells within all believers to share the Good News of Jesus Christ to dedicate themselves to living godly lives. We believe the Bible to be the absolute inspired true word of God. We believe Christ desires to have a personal relationship with all persons, regardless of age, origin, or sin. We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, enlivened and empowered by the Holy Spirit to accomplish God's purposes on earth. WE BELIEVE: Children are to be taught the love of Jesus through Christian-based curricula and through the loving care of teachers who are called to this ministry Children are to be directed toward values and behaviors which demonstrate their own love of Jesus through faith-centered teaching and loving discipline Children are to be prepared for school through educational approaches that emphasize basic skills to prepare them for reading, math and problem solving Each child’s unique gifts and aptitudes should be recognized and encouraged. OUR STAFF... ...are carefully chosen to meet the philosophy of KUCI. Additionally, all staff members meet the requirements as spelled out in the State Regulations for the operation of Preschool and Day Care, as well as the requirements set by the Association Christian Schools International through which we are accredited. We hold a five star license with the State of New Mexico and are regulated by CYFD. This agency regularly inspects this facility.
